El Segundo. my home away from home. I have spent a lot of time there over the last 7 years while working for my company. Visiting the office and doing all the hard work to make things happen.
I have walked along this ocean front so many times and enjoy the near perfect weather. The hang glider sign is something I never thought about or that I would ever see in my life. I have actually seen hang gliders fly past while on this beach. I actually thought about trying to get a lesson but then remembered I do not like heights so I decided against it.
The city itself is also what seems like a smallish town next to Los Angeles, with some very fantastic locally owned restaurants and bars that have been around forever. You can get a great breakfast at Wendy's (not the fast food place), Barbecue at Britts, Sushi at Hana Haru, and drinks at the Purple Orchid.
Someday I will be able to get back, I hope.
